The release of ZW3D 2020 is, with all its enhancements and NEW capabilities, now making the users job more efficient and easier to complete on time.
ZW3D Premium, on top of all the Solid and Hybrid modeling modules, includes the Manufacture module from standard 2Dimentional turning/Milling all the way through to 5 Axis machining. Turning of special-shaped end face is supported in Finishing operation. New Cutting Depth function has been added to Part Off operation
The ZW3D team made huge efforts to optimize the application capabilities, to increased flexibility and efficiency. All of this means the Designer and the Manufacturer SAVE MONEY !
New features include:
- Rough Offset
- enabling offset surfaces based on the product model, accelerating casting, packaging, and sheet metal design.
- PARTsolutions add-in
- has been upgraded with 17 national standards, helping users meet the production requirements of different countries.
- Assembly design
- is more flexible and efficient. First, the well-defined components can move within a specific range. Moreover, the defined constraints can be retained when a component is moved across levels.
- Injection Mould design
- The Cooling loop improvement is faster because users can adjust parameters with a dynamic preview and once decided when parameters are good, then placement of the “O”Ring, plugs and nipples are automatically inserted correctly.
- Other mold parts like Pocket corner cutout(called Groove) inserted along with the pocket for the Core or Cavity plates.
- Taper lock top and bottom heels automatically placed to dimensions chosen.
- Runner and Gate features massively upgraded for ease of use, making mold design more time and money efficient.
- Electrode design is quickened. Multiple electrode blanks can be created in batches. Dynamic Circle helps users quickly judge whether or not to insert an electrode at a specific location. Bill of Electrodes and Electrode Engraving are also supported.
- 2 to 3-axis milling has been enhanced. Surface Engraving has been added in 2-axis milling to conduct lettering and remove burrs of parts. In 3-axis milling, 3D Constant Step Size is supported in Z level operation, allowing users to create smoother 3D surfaces. What’s more, tool-path calculation is now faster by utilizing multi-cores.
- Full Machine Simulation supports simulation of the actual machining process by taking the kinematic models of machines into account, so as to detect potential issues and ensure manufacture ability.
- 5 Axis Milling
- Operation types can be Fixed Index(i.e., the tool axis does not change within a tool path)or continuous (i.e., the tool axis changes)
- Interactive Cut operation
- The interactive cut operation provides additional flexibility by allowing you to create a sequence of 5 axis swarf cut tool motions by specifying groups of part, check and drive surfaces. You will notice that the definition form shown below is similar to that of the swarf cut shown above.
